Basic Zine InfoSeven Rings of Sin will be a fanzine surrounding the Seven Deadly Sin CHARACTERS from the Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss universe.The goal is for this zine to have 7 chapters, with each chapter representing the sin. There will be art and stories about the sins, with no specific topic.Depending on the interest check, there will also be an NSFW add-on to the sine which will include anything from suggestive to extremely explicit works. This will be entirely separate from the main zine, so if you do not want to see NSFW work, you do not have to. I repeat, THE MAIN ZINE WILL BE 100% SFW, with only mild gore / blood allowed as that's common for the characters within this universe.Host Information
Hai hai !! My name is Jamie and I am the host / founder / organizer of this whole thing! I am also the owner of Axlotl Zines. I will always be open and available to answer questions that anyone may have, whether that be a mod, contributor, or even a supporter. Just consider that I life in California, United States and as a result my timezone is Pacific Standard Time (PST). Keep this in mind when messaging me. I won't ever be ignoring a message, but I may be asleep or busy.Along with that, I also have a job and go to school. I will have a part-time job and college classes from February - Early June. After this, I will transfer to having a full-time job. Please also keep this in mind when it comes to my response time. What is a zine?
A “zine” (derived from magazine) is an unofficial fan created project, usually tied to a specific fandom and an underlying theme. Zines can be created for profit, for charity, or for free. The type of zine this is will be determined by the Interest Check !What is the theme of the zine?
The zine theme is the Seven Deadly Sin CHARACTERS in the Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss universe. There's no sub-theme to make it more specific, it's just all surrounding those 7 characters.Are OCs Allowed?
No, original characters will NOT be allowed for this zineAre other canon characters allowed?
Yes, other canon characters are allowed to be in art works and writing in the zine, but the Sin MUST be the primary focus of any work. For example, there can be an art piece of Fizzarolli with Azmodeus, Tex with Bee, or Glitz and Glam with Mammon, but the sin must be the primary focus.Are Ships Allowed?
Absolutely! The ships can either be of Sins and their current CONFIRMED partners (ex. Ozzy & Fizz or Bee & Tex), or you could also include headcannon / fan ships (ex. Bee & Loona). All ship art though, must be with one of the Sins and then another character.What mediums are accepted?
Artists and Writers will 100% be accepted into the zine! Then the hope, if there's enough interest, is to also accept cosplayers, chefs, and other mediums as well !Is traditional art allowed?
Yes, we do welcome traditional art, but you must have access to a good quality scanner to be considered. We will not accept a shaky phone picture to be included into the zine. Alongside this, the scans you provide must fit the required specs for the zine.Is previous work allowed?
No. All work included in this zine must be 100% new and specifically made for the zine. We do not accept old work.Can ANYTHING be drawn / written?
Yes.. ish. Before anyone starts creating anything, you MUST contact either myself (Jamie), or a mod to get your proposal approved. Everyone will have a dedicated mod as their main point of contact, but I will also be available for ANYONE to contact for zine related inquires. As for your proposal, almost anything will be approved and it will be completely fine, but we still request that you send us your proposal first to ensure that it actually fits within the requirements of the zine. (Ex. The sin needs to be the main focus, no NSFW in the SFW zine, no problematic prompts, etc.)Will you be including specs for art?
Yes! I will need to discuss specifics with the art and formatting mods, but all specs will be listed in the discord server before contributors have been selected and notified.Will I retain the rights to sell my work later on?
Absolutely. All I ask is that you don't sell anything relating to the zine WHILE PRODUCTION IS HAPPENING. Once all sales have been finalized, I would say wait a couple months out of good faith before moving on to selling prints, keychains, or other merch made out of your artwork. It is not at all required to wait a few months, but I say it only out of good faith. It is however required for you to NOT sell anything until all production is finished, as it is seen as extremely disrespectful to take sales away from the zine as it's running, especially since all funds not used in production will be going to charity. So please wait until after.How many contributors will there be?
The goal is to accept as many people as possible. If this is a digital only zine, then it will be a free-for-all, meaning every single person that applies will be accepted! If this is a physical zine, then we will be a bit more limited on how many people we accept as contributors will get a free physical copy.Will this zine be physical or digital?
This will be determined by the interest check and moderator opinions of whether people would prefer a physical or digital zine. I do hope for this zine to be physical, but both are equal possibilities at the moment !How will contributors be compensated?
If the zine is digital, contributors will be volunteering their work for a FREE zine, and there will be no compensation. If the zine is physical, it is guaranteed for contributors to receive a high quality digital version of the zine along with discounted merch sales. Contributors will be receiving no monetary compensation if it is a physical zine, as all leftover funds will go to a charity chosen by the mods & contributors.Will there be any merch?
This is dependent on the interest check, but the goal is yes! There will be digital and physical merch depending on if the zine is digital or physical.Are there any requirements for the zine?
The only requirement is that all contributors and moderators must be 18+ regardless of working on the SFW zine or the potential NSFW add-on.Do I need zine experience to join?
Not at all! It doesn’t matter if this is your very first zine, or your hundredth zine, all applications are welcome!How will you be communicating with contributors?
Mods and Contributors selected will be reached out to via an email, which will then request for them to join the discord server. Outside of the initial email, ALL communication will remain within the discord server, and nowhere else. You will need to have a discord account in order to participate in this zine.Can I apply for more than one position, or can I only choose one?
There will be many positions open to apply for, and you are open to applying for every single one if you’d like! You are also able to be selected for multiple roles. As a result, please do not apply to multiple positions unless you are confident you can do work for ALL of them at once, as that’s always a possibility.Will rejection emails be sent out?
In the case that the zine is physical and we can only accept a limited amount of submissions, rejection emails WILL be sent out. I believe in providing people with closure and information and therefore will always send out rejection emails and not leave people in the dark.Is AI Generated Content Allowed?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!! GEN AI WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM AND IF YOU INTEND TO USE AI IN ANY PART OF THE PROCESS, INCLUDING APPLICATION FORMS AND ACTUAL CONTRIBUTIONS, LEAVE NOW!! YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!!!
